about

I have gotten into several discussions lately about nuclear power and my concern has always been the life of spent fuel and the fact that weapons, fearful weapons came from plutonium. Well there are many grave dangers beyond those and one complete myth that nuclear is a clean-green energy. If we include the mining of Uranium etc, huge amounts of fossil fuels are expended in that. If we further consider the radioactive mining waste, which can remain so for up to 250,000 years, the radon gas expelled which can travel up to 1,000km in only slight winds and lastly we have been fighting nuclear wars for some time now via depleted Uranium. I urge you all to resist any move to expand the use of nuclear. Whilst I understand there are difficult substances needed for solar and wind power, that is still a much better road to take than nuclear.
